He stalks her through busy streets at midday;
So cunning, his presence unknown to her.
Learning her habits; he loves the foreplay.
How curious, a chance meeting today.
So practiced and polished, he baits the lure;
Hard to resist, his best work on display.
Safe at home, musing over their wordplay;
Pulse quickens, she can feel her heart flutter.
Flush warm cheeks give her excitement away.
As she sleeps, he studies from the driveway;
Oblivious to the lurking danger.
Brutal to keep his excitement at bay.
He can almost taste her looming decay,
But his shock could not feel any stranger.
Bed empty, he turns around in dismay.
Forgive me, for the surprise I betray.
Tempting, the thrill for which I so hunger.
My confession to you, sly little stray;
I am the hunter, and you are the prey.
